I smell an S4 Brakes scam(details inside)
So Englsh and I, I guess, were in a bidding war on Ebay for these B6 calipers. Well, the story goes, I tried to outbid the current highest bidder last minute and after the auction closed, the person emails me later stating, "the calipers are mine, nice try", and I replied nicely, "I hope they noticeably perform better than your current set up".
That was yesterday. Today I get a reply from the winning bidder. He says, "I'm gonna do a test fit on my car. I have custom wheels. But if they don't fit do you want them! I'll sell them to you for just what I got the for!"
It gets better. About 1 hour later I get another email through ebay from the seller stating, "Hey, are you still interested in the S4 brakes? They are still available,$300 shipped if you want them. Let me know."
Sounds fishy. Botht he highest bidder and the seller have 100% feedback and now the seller is trying to deal outside of ebay for less than the highest bid. I was interested but now it sounds too good to be true.

something definitely sounds fishy there...
like he forced the action on the bidding with an outside acount...
then after tried to get you pay the high bid as the "buyer" or just a little less as the "seller"
either way id be careful... everyone on ebay is not always as it seems

I have more than one set, with same mileage...
didn't feel like listing again. And I'm not concerned with the $26 difference of what you would have paid to what I offered you now. My mistake for not wording my email correctly. I can send you pics of the the sets together before I ship one out to the winning bidder for you to compare. Not trying to scam anybody.

I appreciate the clarification. My intention was not to slander anyone. The sequence of events that
has occurred after the auction leaves me with an uneasy feeling. And, you had no idea the winning bidder sent me those emails either. The other thing was the winner just previously bought a pair of b5 s4 brakes a while back. Thank you for the offer but maybe next time.

I'm glad you were the 2nd highest bidder cause if I'd got the winners gloating email I would have...
sent him the sh*ttiest email back he's ever seen!! And anyway, my car stops pretty well right now so f*ck the brakes..... it's time for the GIAC chip instead!!

It's Not Fishy
I have purchased some things on ebay from the same seller that you are talking about. he was just letting you know if you stil wanted them he could still get them for you. Its not fishy, he is able to get ahold of audi parts and is willing to try and sell them off of ebay as well.
