If you plan to lease soon and may incur mileage charges, READ
I sat down to get some lease residuals and money factors from my local dealer this weekend and he informed me of a memo. Apparently, on 5/1, the charges for overmileage on leases are going up considerably. On 15K mile leases, they are currently 0.15/mi or 0.10 if prepaid. After 5/1, they will be 0.25/mi or 0.15 if prepaid. That's a huge leap. So, if there's anyone in this situation who may be in a position to accelerate their decision making, you may want to do so.
BTW, at least in the northeast (numbers may be regional?), the current 39 mo/15K lease residual percentage and money factor on the A4 1.8T Quattro are 56% and 0.00245. For the 3.0, the numbers are 52% and 0.00115.

The residual is dependent on the length of term, region and mileage...
here is GA the best I can find for 2002 A4 3.0 quattro and a 48/12k lease is 50% residual and .00190. A 39 would be higher in the residual. Increase teh mileage allowance, and teh residual drops. Going to a 15k instead of a 12k lowers the residual to 48% during that same 48 month lease.
