Default I've misplaced my Bently CD. Does the 3.0 valve cover gasket

require sealant? If so, where?

No. If you wish, you can put some on the cornerns though. I opted not to.

Default Thanks. Think I'll go with the clean & dry option. Valvetrain doesn't look

too bad for 140,443 miles.

Default There is supposed to be a little dab of sealant used in the sharp corners ..

where the elevation or angle changes abruptly, or where two surfaces meet at a sharp intersection angle. No sealant is used anywhere else. None of those conditions exist on the 3.0l VC.
