low engine coolant level

i just realized that my engine coolant level is well below the min mark. but the warning light never turns on. i am wondering if i need to go to the deal to fill the tank up immediately or if it's still ok to drive for a while since i am quite busy these days. thanks.

did you check it when the engine is hot/running?

the level drops a bit when the engine is running/hot since there is still coolant in circulation. add cooland if it's still low after checking it when it's kool. careful not to open the lid when it's hot.

also, make sure there are no slow leaks... if you find that you need to keep adding coolant, there's something wrong.

the level on mine is almost always below that mark when cold...even after going to dealer fo service

same here.....it always seems to leak back down to that level after fillup for some reason....

usually doesn't go below that so I've never worried. The dealership says they have no idea why it does that. I never see any witness leaks on the engine/hoses and there's never any fluid on the ground.
