for our 1.8t's the downpipe was after the cat. I called magnaflow just now and they stated that it's dp - cat - exhaust on the a4. HHHmmm

So does this mean i will not really see a performance increase. And if so do I need to buy a dp separately??

No exhaust is going to give huge gains, but even those w/o a downpipe will offer some, maybe falling 3-4 ft. lbs or hp short of ones with a downpipe. The real restriction is in the mufflers.

Well Magnaflow are completely useless...They still insist that the dp is before the cat!!

First off, does a hiflow cat not produce as much flow as a downpipe or testpipe? and is there a sound difference with stock cat-back? I don't care if the check engine light comes on, as long as the factory wont notice that its been misfiring from the testpipe/downpipe...I have a stock tune as well. Which one should I get??
