Default How long will you keep it ?

If more than 5 years, get the Ford. If less, keep the Audi. The Mootang is getting ready for a major overhaul. Once that strikes, the resale goes away - any resale you might have had, given it's a domestic. The A4 will be nearing the end of it's cycle, but you could still turn around and get something back out of it.

In any case, a car is almost always a depreciating asset. The longer you can keep it, the less money you throw away on depreciation.

Default Wait until you see the price of your used A4.

It makes me wish I spent the extra on a 330Ci.

Default i don't know honestly.

i suppose i'd drive it as long as it kept me happy. happy would mean relatively problem free; i.e. cost to fix problems doesn't make me question keeping the car.

i fully realize that cars are not an investment. i'm just kinda questioning whether i want to continue to make monthly payments when there are other things i could be using that money for.

i don't know that i'd keep the audi longer than 4 years/50K miles. 50K miles for me would be more like 2.5 years. i'd be really scared of footing repair bills out of warranty. parts at that point would be several times more expensive to replace.

Default That's what Nick said.

Then the bitch went stage 3, now he wants an S3. I know the mod bug, it is hard to quell and satisfy. If you think you are disciplined enough to make the change and save some cashola, then go for it. But sometimes the best laid plans.... It's human nature.
