New ****. Once I got the OEM retainer ring off the install was a snap.

I found out that if you use a small eyeglass screw driver to pry one of the four tabs in, the retainer ring comes right off with no damage to the OEM shift **** and components. I like the look and feel of this new ****. I purchased it from: www.ttstuff.com. $40 with shipping.

Is that stock shift boot? How did you get it to connect to the bottom of the new ****?

There was an extra collar with the kit, The collar had three set screws in it. I put the collar
on first and after all the adjustments were made t the ****, I pulled the OEM boot up against the bottom of the new **** and slid the collar up tight and tightened the set screws. Then I replaced the boot with the four OEM snaps. Once the boot was in place I took a small screw driver and wedged in any extra material.
