New Pads Installed, more rotor surface being used now (good and bad)
I recently bought some PBR Ceramic Pads and installed them on my OEM rotors. I noticed that in the front, the new pads make more contact with the rotor than the OEM ones. There was a ring of rust on the OEM rotors about 1/8" that the new pads touch.(smallest diameter part of the rotor)
As a result, there is some vibration under heavy braking and once in a while a squeak.
Sould I wait for the rust band to wear off and become level with the rest of the rotor, or take everything off and have them turned? Please note that after 3 days, the rust is almost entirely worn away. My guess is that everything should be level some time next week, and if the vibration is still there....then I should have them turned.
