Noobesque Avant Question

Noobesque Avant Question
Entertaining thoughts about joining the ranks of Audi owners with a 2002 or 2003 Avant. The Avant seems to fit the bill for style, decent practicality, uniqueness/flair, etc. Contemplated Volvo (too "soccer mom"), Subaru (makes sense but zero flair, Sportcross (performance but Japanese goofy looking), Saab 9 series (mixed emotions) and Passat (Okay but lacks passion/too many driving around).
Someone is selling a used 2003 3.0 Avant with 7500 miles and every option except Navigation for about 33K. I have been keeping my eye out lately and it's hard to find a 6 speed 3.0 Avant in Atlas Grey or Silver.
I am a tad leary of chipping the 1.8 Turbo and think the 3.0 would be a better option for me. The Kelly Blue book is about 34K but I was wondering what Audi enthusiasts thought.
Thanks in advance.

I was offered an amulet red 2002 3.0 6-speed with 6k miles and Audi Extended Warranty for $30k
in March. The car was 11 months old and was semi loaded (no sport or xenons, but had premium leather, heated seats). I didn't buy it, got my new 1.8T instead.
33k is probably on the high side on that car, especially if it's not certified.

Go for it! I have been thinking about trading my 021.8t for a 3.0 avant - I could use some extra
cargo space. I don't want to deal with chipping - with my luck I blow it up and be denied warranty.

Re: Noobesque Avant Question
I was hoping GTakacs would answer.....
More details: Includes Prem.leather, Xenons, Premium/Sport/Cold Weather packages, Bose and a set of Audi roof bars with Ski attach., rubber floor mats.
It has every option I lust after and am trying not too let emotion run amuck. Will offer lower price. I need to complete purchase by early December. Local Seattle dealers seem a bit lacking in Avant inventories.
Thanks again.
