Default O2 sensors problems...

02 A4 2.0 cvt with vagcom (704.1) 01 engine readiness showing "O2 SENSOR(S) FAILED OR INCOMPLETED" as well as "CAT. CONVERTER FAILED OR INCOMPLETED". Any idea of which O2 sensor, the pre Cat or the post Cat one?? Are they the same? Is it a pricy part? Thanks for all your valuable inputs.

Default If it is a bad sensor they are approx $100...

ECS has them on sale from time to time.

An '02 A4 2.0? Do you mean the 3.0?

Default You should run the entire readiness cycle.

You can't say for sure they have failed until you have run the "official" readiness cycle, as documented in the Bentley manual. It's about a 20 minute procedure with the VAG-COM and a lot of revving Once you run that procedure, you will also know which sensor is problematic, or if it is the cat.

Alternatively, go for a long drive with lots of hard acceleration and lots of cruising, it should eventually complete readiness.
