Default Oh boy! Another new problem!

So I'm driving home today, and it's pretty warm out, like low 90's. So I turn on the air. I'm driving along listening to Tool Aenima. I turn down the air a little, and immediately the cd player skips two tracks. I didn't hit a bump so I thought it was odd. The cd has been in there for a while so I thought maybe it had some dust on it. So I take it out and clean it and pop it back in. Same thing again on the same track. So I figure it's probably just the cd so I change to a different disc in the changer. Same thing happens about the same timeframe into the cd. Sometimes it goes forward 1 track, 2 tracks, and somemetimes back 1 or 2. Looks like it's back to the dealer for me

sounds like a problem with the CD, not the player. I'd try another then go to the dealer

I tried multiple cd's. It always seems to go bezerk at the same distance into each cd.

Default Kayoh! definitely a problem. My guess is the read head... make em give you a new one!..

on my '98 the dealer was pretty cheerful about replacing the head unit (kept having problems with tunning), they kept trying and finaly got it right. They won a customer by never blaming me for the problem.

So it gets better.....
I had to come into work tonight because of a blown c-card in a T1 cabinet.
Anywho, the radio now changes stations AND volume by itself. Trying to have any tunes in the car is now useless bcase the cd player erraticaly changes tracks. Like hitting 20 tracks in a second and only playing a blip from each. NICE!
These little bugs are getting old quick.....

OK, so I think I figured it out.
The **** to the right of the display on the radio. When you turn it there is a notched feel to it. If you don't make sure the **** is turned to one of the notches, you'll get the symptoms I've described here. Design flaw if you ask me
But hey, at least I don't have to go back in for service
