Ok I hooked up my SAT receiver but it won't work ?

Ok I hooked up my SAT receiver but it won't work ?
It was easy to install . All you do is hook up the wires to the SAT receiver.
BUT.... my head unit is still saying "NO SAT"
Is there a menu I need to get into to active the feature within the radio?
