Paging April...I gotta question...
My little brother is going to order a new S4. However, he doesn't want the chrome trim around the windows. He wants it black like my 1.8T. Before I ask, can you tell me if it is possible for a dealer to request this in an order? I don't want the guy to tell me it can't be done if I know it can. BTW, you referred him to me when I bought mine...TIA

My guess is no.
The dealerships have no say so in any of those things. They can only order what AoA decided to bring over. If it's chrome trimmed 3.0s, then that is that.
I was trying to get 1BE sport suspension on a VW Passat Wagon special order and there was no way they could have done it as it is not a sold option in the US, only on the W8. So I just got an A4 Avant instead :-D.
But you can always buy the parts and get it replaced once the car is here. It would be an expensive swap though, not worth it IMHO.

If that were the case, then no one in the US would have Imola. There are ways...
of getting things here that are not offered here. I just don't know how far it extends.

I'm not April but...
One way that I can think that it might be possible is through the European delivery program. (Does Audi even have that?) Because they are building the car at the factory, you will might have more options to customize your car. But this is only a guess.

Audi doesn't have European Delivery, not that it would do any good.
ALL Audis are built "at the factory" it's a matter of limiting build code combinations for North American made Audis is all.
Anything is doable at the factory, it's a matter of entering the proper build codes. However the US build codes are really limited, hence no way to order a car "a'la carte".
