Default Is it a PITA to change oil ourselves in the B6?

I have a 3.0 and I'd like to change the oil at 15k with synthetic and run it till the Audi Service interval @ 20k miles. Is it hard to get to the filter and remove it?

Default speaking of oil changes, does anyone know if the dealer....

removes the plastic skid plate underneath whenever they change oil at 10K intervals? i need to confirm this because i have an issue regarding some work done. after my 30K service, my plastic underpan came off while i was driving and my dealer denied taking off this protective cover under the engine.

How would they do the filter without taking it off?

Default Maybe they didn't

It IS so much easier just to put the car on the lift, drain the oil, and refill. Who would evar know?

and if ya think it is un-possible, just look at your receipt. Even if ya bring yer own oil they STILL charge AOA for 4 qts (or if their bevhills audi they charge for 5)

I would notice. I look at the outside of the new filter so see if it is clean or not.
