I have my '02 A4 sitting at the dealership now for two weeks for a caliper and there is no ETA of the part coming. I called Audi's customer response line and they said it was on backorder. Are parts THAT difficult to come by?

my rear bench seat (leatherette) began to pull away from the backrests at the corners. it's taken nearly 3 months to get here. my rear window defogger has failed -- i shudder to think how long it will take if the window itself needs replacement.
