Default Price check on Aisle 2003 A4 1.8T

Okay, so I stopped by the dealer yesterday with an offer for this factory ordered car

2003 Audi A4 1.8T CVT
Light Silver Metallic
Premium Package
Sport Package

I offered $28,103, or 4% over my edmunds.com invoice price of $26,388 + $660 dest. charge. The sales manager says "absolutely not". I say "good day".

Sales manager calls me this morning and we were able to agree on a price of $28,515, or 4% over his "invoice" of $27,419 (with $400 of random fees and dest. charge $660).

Anyhoo, does $28,515 sound good to you guys who have purchased 2003 A4s? Thanks.

I would take it. I walked into the dealership last saturday and the sales manager offered me 3.9% financing w/ only 10% down with a good credit rating. If I had the cash, I would definitely buy it.

Default Mine came to be a total of......

$26,535 but keep in mind that when I placed the order back in May, the car was supposed to be built as a 02 but that ordered was cancelled and ended up being a '03 A4 1.8T. The options that I negotiated for the price were: Ming blue/platinium, 5spd with sports package, sunroof, heated seats plus rubber floor mats. Well with the '03 introduction, I lost some of the '02 standard features but ended up getting a ski sack, leather seats and Homelinker. I live in the DC area so location can also be a factor on the price. But 4% over invoice seems to be the going rate and I think anything b/n 3%-5% over invoice is considered to be a good bargain.

Default Yeah, I'm in L.A.

I went to Advantage Audi in Redlands. I thought I'd have a better chance of getting a deal there (because it's farther out) than at places like Beverly Hills or Newport Beach.

I'm going to email some other dealers, see if they want to beat this price. It's nice to live in an area with lots of Audi dealers.
