Problem accelerating
When I gun it, the engine revs more than it accelerates. I don't think that makes sense... thing is... I feel less power like the clutch is somewhat always engaged.
I barely notice it unless I'm accelerating hard. As of today, its a lot worse. In second gear, if I gun it, it feels like I'm pumping the clutch pedal (about a quarter of the way).
Yesterday, I tried accelerating hard from a stop and I burnt the clutch. I don't THINK my foot was touching the clutch but it may have been. Either way, I have noticed the odd acceleration prior to that. It's just worse now.
I have two problems. I'm not sure how to describe this in a few words to search (I don't seem to get any results).
And, of course, the problem the car has. Does anyone know what might be going on or how to test it?

After googling some more, my guess is clutch but who should I get to replace it?
I have a real good moms/pops style shop that I have trusted for years. They are old school so if there are Audi specific parts/fluids I need to get, please let me know so I can provide them to the shop.
If there aren't any specific parts that I should get, do you have any recommendations on clutch brands (I'm not a fan of 3rd party OEM stuff from NAPA when we're talking about a clutch). Also, what tranny fluid should I toss in?
