problem with the windows
I just got my windows tinted and the man told me not to open them for 3 days. One of my friends acidentally opened the driver's window, but it went back up without a problem after two days. I waited until 5 days, in the freezing Cleveland weather, and tried to open and close the windows. To my dismay, the back windows stayed open. It wasn't until a couple of minutes later that they actually went down. Does anybody else have this problem on windows without tint, or is it just the tint job?

I've caught myself a few times with cars too close as I change lanes thanks to the auto dimming mirrors. They work well but make cars look further away than they actually are. Something tells me it would be a nightmare with tinted windows, especially in the rain.

the problem w/ the windows not going up/down is because the tint place had to tuck the tint below the door panel edge and in order to do that they had to fold/push down the rubber edge on the window/door panel. With that rubber bit stuffed in between the window and panel it is too much force for the window motor to move. You just have to take all the windows down all the way and then bring them back up a few times until that rubber edge reseats itself and pops back into position.
as far as the auto-dim goes.. you can kiss auto dim goodbye more or less if you have tint because with the windows tinted (I have the lightest tint available) the inside of the car will always be darker somewhat than the outside so the sensors never get tripped for them to activate autodimming. Even w/ someone behind you w/ high beams its rarely enough light to trip the autodim sensor into activating.
