tinting side windows -- extra recessed bit that slides up
I am getting the windows tinted on my TT. You know how the window slides up into the roof of the car when you shut the door? How far up does it go? Just 1/4" or so? Or more?
Does anybody know if this causes a problem when tinting? I'm thinking that when they apply the tint, the window is down that extra 1/4", and when the door is shut, the glass slides up the 1/4", so there's a 1/4" of untinted glass on the bottom.

The tinter should be able to figure it out . . .
You can trigger the windows by actuating the door latch to raise the windows while they are being tinted. The slight movement will not affect the tint during its curing phase. I have had mine tinted and have had no problems. Good luck!

The solution is easy >>>
Tell the tint installer about the window issue. After they install the tint, they can take a hair dryer and dry the lowest inch or so of the tint, enough that it won't move, and you won't have a problem. That's what my window tint installer did, and it worked great.
