Replacing Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor
I've been searching and reading post. And i even found the info on this in the tech section.
My check engine light has recently came on, went off and came back on. I rented a OBD II and i got a P1296 (Cooling system malfunction). I did a search and found that i need to replace my temperature sensor. But it seems (to me at least) that all the post are directed towards the B5s for sensor replacement. Are the B6 A4s different? I went to the ecstuning.com and they have a $5 temperature sensor for the B5 A4s, but an $90 temperature sensor for the B6 A4s. Is there something i should know?
Has anyone here replaced their Temperature Sensor on their B6 A4? If so please advise. Also if anyone knows the Part # or Color of the sensor i need it would be helpful. And if anything i said above is incorrect please correct me.
