RS4 Style wheels...
I'm picking up my A4 3.0 Sedan, non-sport this week, so I've been contemplating my wheel upgrade options...I want the RS4 style wheels ala the celebration wheels like I had on my 2001.5. From what I gather, the RS style wheels come in both 18x8 and 17x7.5. The 17's are on Clair Parts for $420 a pop, and the 18's are on partsdepartment.co.uk for around $500 a pop. Pretty steep prices. I really want the 18's...maybe we can get a group buy going for the 18x8 Audi RS Style wheels...what do you guys think? Or am I way off base?

Those are fakes.
"They are made by the same factory that makes the OEM RS4 wheels." Yeah, right...and my watch is build by Breitling but they just remove the logo and sell it at Kmart.
I was told by various sources that that's impossible, because of the '100% exclusive' contract Quattro GmbH has. Of course they can be copied, but they're not from the same source.
It does make a nice excuse, though...
I checked out the fake wheels but went for the real thing after all.

Well, there are RS4 wheels and RS4-style wheels.
The real RS4 wheels are the wrong offset (atleast for S4s). Plus, RS4 owners were initially quite upset about how easily they bent. ( I don't know if Audi resolved this problem later on or not.)
RS4-style wheels seem to come in different flavors. I believe that the Discount Tire wheels are the Performance Alloy wheels that JoshD mentions further down in the thread I linked to. He seemed disappointed with the quality of these wheels. Also, I know Audi offers 18" RS4 style wheels in Europe that has the correct offset and are reportedly stronger (and heavier?) than real RS4 wheels. I thought that that was what JoshD has on his car now, but maybe not as the price for these seem lower than I remembered the Audi RS4 style wheels being.
Regardless, these wheels look pretty nice.

Re: Well, there are RS4 wheels and RS4-style wheels.
They sure look nice, that's why I ordered them.
JoshD's are replica's (as he said himself), cause you can't even get 2 original wheels for his set price!
The original 18" 'RS4 style' wheels for the A4 look exactly like the RS4 wheels (except straighter spokes because of the higher offset).
The center cap its the easiest way to see if they're original or replica's. None of the replica's I've seen have good looking caps. But I don't think non-enthousiasts will notice or care about details like this. At least replica's will save you $$$$. Not sure about the quality though...
