Default I wish they were... <lol>

As I have said many times before; "I'm very impressed by MTM's exhaust and the level of engineering/build quality they put into their stuff". I was not impressed by APR or GHL's exhaust systems.
GHL was the worst with regards to noise (very loud inside). That was one of the reasons I returned it (also because of fitment issues and defective sizing). I know there was someone else on here who bought it as well and returned it because it was too loud inside. I wasn't very impressed by the outside sound either, or the tip design/finish. Anyways, GHL stopped making them for the B6 after all of that happened (bad press).
Honestly, if you are serious about top notch build/performance quality, MTM is it. I can't say whether or not you'll be happy with APR, Milltek,.. or even MTM. But I can try to help you avoid a bad experience by recommending MTM (at least IMHO). It is hard to find fault with it. Fact is, you might be happy with APR's exhaust. Check it out in person if you can. But if I were given the choice again; I wouldn't even hesitate to choose MTM again. Thermal is about the only one to compare performance wise (but I can almost bet it will be loud in either version). You have to weigh your tastes (how it looks), sound/noise, cost and build/performance.
