Default I thought I was the only one.

The brakes are scary on our ML320 too. Not only is 3/4 of the brake travel dead space, but once you get to the bottom, it's like the brakes can't handle the car. Absolutely horrible. Drove a '99 Explorer after being used to the ML, thought I was in heaven.

Default ECS Tuning Stage 3 "Big Red"

Uses porsche 993 TT calipers and rotors. The kit is usually $1850. It's on sale for $1665.00 I believe. I just bought one.

Default It's designed in Germany, where they decided on brake size.

MB just missed the boat on their first SUV. It has nothing to do with assembly location.

Default I think he was joking...but yes, they really fvcked it up.

I'm very surprised they haven't bothered to fix it. Apparently the brakes are larger on the ML500 and even bigger on the 55, so I'd be interested to drive one.
