Default Taking the chip plunge...

Alright...finally ordered the Neuspeed chip today. Can't wait to get the ECU back from GreedSpeed. Had one question, though. Anthony at GreedSpeed told me that the new torque rating would be 245 lb-ft. That worries me a little bit considering I have the tiptronic tranny on my car.

Should I really be concerned? Any thoughts/experiences etc. would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

It's fine, I think the tranny is rated for 300 lb-ft.

Default Tip? no probs whatsoever... infact

Id hazard to say that audi lowballs on their 230 lb/ft on the CVT just to be safe and that 245 could just go in and still leave a coupla lb/ft to spare.

Just think about consistancy in manufacture of engines, variable conditions and manufacture of transmissions, not to mention extra loads that may suddently come on the tranny, the things definitely got a comfort zone to play with... but anyway, its good to stay withing the rec'd comfort zone...

as for your tip..yeah, no probs at all.

Maybe he meant that torque rating for the manual tranny by mistake?
