Teflon coat for car?
I was told by someone to use this Teflon sealer (or whatever it is) on my car.
Has anyone tried this stuff or know what it is?
I was told that it helps protect paint and shine from wax stripping soap.
Your input would be greatly appreciated!
02 A4 1.8T MT Dolphin/Platinum, Xenon's, Vag mods (Fogs & Windows) 30% Titanium Tint all around, Sport Rims & Susp on the way, Rockford enhanced on the way!

I think a lot of those products are a scam.
I was told Teflon could only be attached with a lot of heat! As in cookware. So there is no way to have a thin coat of teflon in wax and expect it to do what it does for cookware.
If you look at these products they say one time, but when you read the fine print they say re-apply twice a year. So it is the same as a good polish or wax twice a year.
IMHO I would save my money.

Your best bet is to just follow good car care instructions...

Agreed...I had teflon done to an new Acura, and after a year...
I couldn't see any advantage to it: Same appearance as a car w/o it!
Imo, save the money on teflon and visit a good detailer periodically.
