At the Track Need Help
So now i have a modded a4 1.8t quatro with a giac chip and a milltek exhaust. Audi says the car car stock runs a 16.2 with a 0-60 of 7.9. Somehow my car is a dawg. Feels great on the highway, but at the tracks it just plain sucks. Out of 3 runs, my best time was a 16.1 with a 60 foot of 2.2. Whats the deal with launching the car. I was revving out to 6000-7000 rpms and dumping the clutch. It just bogged down to 2500 and then took off. What can i do to lower my 60 foot. If i could pull a 1.8 60 foot, i should be able to get a low 15 sec. run from the car.

I hope you have a good clutch. If you were revving the motor in a constant matter at 6000-7000 rpm..
Then you had no boost. You must play with the gas pedal to always get back in the boost before dumping the clutch.

You're really not that far off with just a chip...
I have seen plenty of stock A4s actually running 16.6s or so and chips get them down to the very high 15s and even 16 flats. I dont think you should be too upset with these times. If you practice your launch, you can probably shave a few tenths off of your time and that wouldnt be bad for just running a chip. cheers! Mike
