That would work, but all clear coats will give some degree of shine...

So it might not match afterwards if he says it matches perfectly already.

Even better, thats what is used on the OEM buttons.

However I dont think you can get a good quality vinyl paint in a can. Out of a gun, would be no problem. Good call.
