Default When it rains it pours...another coil pack issue (info please)

I just played musical coil packs and found the one that needed to be replaced. I made the change and everything seemed fine. Now two days later it's the same problem again. Is it normal for the coil packs to go at the same time? Should I be replacing all of them at the same time or is this just a coincidence? Can this be a sign of another problem?

Default Yeah. Once one fails, they generally all follow suit

I would replace them all and just get it over with

Default 2nd...however, mine were kinda spaced out.

Cylinders 2 & 4 @ 43,000 miles
Cylinder 3 @ 53,000 miles
Cylinder 1 @ 80,000 miles

But once one goes, the others go at some point. Some sooner some later. As you can see, the first failure and last failure were almost 40,000 miles apart.

Default Just replace them all with the R version and keep one or two in the trunk. I have not had an

issue at all with the R version as I replaced all of them a while ago.

Default Well that's not real comforting for us V6 guys. These things get expensive in sixes

I replaced all of mine about 15 months ago and now I've got one going bad somewhere.

Default I had 3 fail, in a matter of three weeks, but the 4th one has been in there for 2 years.

i keep 2 spares in the car since then. so, i've saved myself from throwing out $30. FWIW.
