Default Cold air?

On the A4, the stock air box works pretty well. If a larger turbo is installed, (GT series or larger) it helps to have a better flow. The cold air intakes, (besides the $300 one) will suck in hot air on our cars. Intake is on the same side of exhaust manifold and turbo and trying to find a place where cool air comes in is tough in a small engine compartment.
What I did was used insulating material and then covered with aluminum tape. Augmented heat shield, cut a larger opening on the front intake with flap and am using a K&N filter.
