Why upgrade sport suspension to something else?
I see lot of guys here upgrade shocks and springs and I see the point with the lowering the ride, but even then the sport suspension is already lower than the standard so you don't get much...
I have sport suspension on my USP and I can't imagine why I would change it to something different. Is the Koni & H&R combo that much better over sport setup? Does it affect the "harshness" of the sport suspension? Does it make it less or more harsh?
Just trying to get the idea why you guys do it that is all. Perhaps I am overly impressed by handling of my car, that I cannot see what the upgrade could give me...

three potential reasons....
1. With the exception of maybe the 02 model year, factory sport suspension still sits a little high for some people's taste, and they would like to have a tighter wheel gap, especially when up-sizing to 18" or 19" wheels.
2. Although it is a sport suspension, it's probably more considered a "street sport" suspension. For the guys who compete in auto-crossing and various other track events, the level of performance of factory sport isn't up to par for the task, so they opt to upgrade even further.
3. After you have put some considerable miles on the car and the factory suspension components start to wear out and need replacing, why not upgrade?

I started out with '02 sport suspension, which is one of the lowest...
And I still have a noticeable drop in ride height going to Neuspeed Sport. Asthetics aside, the stiffer setup makes the car handle better. While the handling of the car in stock form isn't bad, upgrading springs, shocks and sway bars (and in my opinion, sway bars in particularly unless you go with very stiff coilovers) transforms the car.
