Default XM for the 2003 B6?

First yeah I searched, I've not found the answer yet.

My wife's commute has changed and she hates morning FM radio. All bozo's yakking it up so she is asking for XM.

I have an IceLink Plus installed, and that interface is so clumsy that she doesn't use it.

So an easy to use XM radio that isn't too spendy is my goal.

Any suggestions?

Default lots of choices

First Sirius > XM (personal pref)

Assuming your Symphony head unit doesn't have a SAT button (if it doesn't you'll have an RDS button isntead), you can swap it out for one that does (either a symphony II; symphony II+ or RNS-E, or aftermarket head unit), and then add the OEM sat module (get both of these items used on the Audizine classifieds)

Second choice is to add an adaptor to provide an AUX input (Blitzsafe makes one) and then buy an aftermarket satellite radio that has a car install kit

Default The most elegant setup is swapping the HU for the '04> HU with the SAT button, ...

and the OE Audi SAT receiver/tuner. The main benefit is superior sound quality, and the Channel/title/artist info is displayed in the HU display and the DIS in the instrument cluster. The SAT receiver/tuner can be mounted under the dash on the passenger side, forward of the glove box, for easy hookup to the HU. The SAT antenna lead needs to be routed to the SAT receiver/tuner, and is the most difficult aspect of the install, a requirement regardless of the specific hardware used.
