Default Your Thoughts on ESP in snow

Fooled around with my 1.8T in snow, drifted around a left hand corner and spun it, went to pull the whole 180 but ESP straightened me out at around 150, right into a snowbank. Think creased right fender.

Default The car feels a little squirelly, then ESP flashes and it straightens out. Still, you can't...

violate the laws of physics. You either just get to bend them or get bent.

Default Under normal opporation it should work as designed.

Your "testing" methods are unrealistic for a true evaluation. Too bad about those dents.

Default you either drive like you know it's on or drive like you know it's off

I find myself turning it on and off all the time... especially around familliar turns that I want to drift through.

It can't stop you from being a total idiot (can't stop me, anyway!) but it is amazing otherwise.

If I'm not mistaken, Audi recommends that you turn off ESP when driving in snow.

Default You are mistaken - this is only in a deep snow situation when your scoot is stuck ...

... and the ESP will not allow the wheels to do their thing.
