Hi how's it going I just recently traded my g35 for this Audi and the check engine light is on for ecu (P0601) and is also saying other codes like turbo under boost and a coolant issue was wondering if the ecu error is just the problem and putting out codes I really dont have? Also the previous owner has just recently put in aftermarket fog lights and had cut the wires and put then to the new ones, would this wiring cause my check engine light come on for my ecm?

The P0601 is a pretty serious error if I am not mistaken as it could be indicating that someone played around with the ECM software. Or the ECM could be bad.

I agree fog light wiring issues will be extremely unlikely to generate anything related to engine operations (EFI software on the ECM). Perhaps the previous owner chipped the car and the tuner did not know what they were doing?
