2.0T vs 3.2... A Question to Ponder...
Hi everyone -
I have a question for you...
I have owned 7 vw's over the last 15 years or so - (to variying levels of satisfaction, but usually I've been quite happy) - but I am about to make the move up to Audi. I am seriously considering between a 2007 or 2008 Audi A4 - both with low KMs (under 40,000) though one is a 2.0t and one is a 3.2. There is very little difference in the price and the condition is very similar - nearly mint! Both are s-lines with leather, paddle shifting tiptronic, etc.
My question is this: What engine do you prefer, and why? I have owned 3 1.8t vw's over the years, and I am very aware of the tunability of that engine - thus I am a fan of turbos and I know that the 2.0t is equally tunable. I know that I can get the 2.0t to basically same power with some simple chiptuning. But does anyone have any cool info about the 3.2 that I may not be aware of?
Ideas welcome...
Cheers,

Drive both and choose the one you prefer. I have a B7 2.0T and a B6 3.0 and they feel very different (B6/B7 differences aside). You will find the V6 is just very smooth and has a great exhaust note. The 2.0T is a great engine, especially when chipped, but with an automatic transmission I would go with the 3.2 motor. My cars are both manual asnd I expect that with an automatic transmission the difference in feel will be exaggerated even more as I don't think the 2.0T works as well with an automatic transmssion.
Also check the compartive option levels - 3.2 was quite a lot more expensive when new, so if price is now similar, something must be the reason for the difference.
Good luck...
