Default 25k service.

First thing the service adviser said before even looking at the car was that the fuel pressure sensor needed to be replaced.

I've been remiss in reading over here on the B7 forum while hanging out on the B8 forum. Is there a recall for the fuel pressure sensor? I know a TSB or a campaign is sometimes only performed if the customer complains, but I had no issues and they replaced it.

Did you have a check engine light?
I have an '07 3.2Q and my light came on and it was the low fuel pressure sensor. They replaced it and the light came on again. Ultimately, 3 weeks and a new ECU later my car is well again.

Default Same problem @ 40,000 miles

I just (TODAY) took my car to the dealer after it the check engine light came on.

They called me just a few minutes ago to tell my that the code was the fuel pressure sensor, and that they replaced it for me.

I thought it was going to be the diverter valve, because I have the "B" valve. However, they said my valve is operating properly. (STRANGE...considering I am chipped.)

I have never heard of this fuel pressure sensor issue? Anyone else have more info?

Default No CEL or anything. 25k regular scheduled maintenance.

He didn't even look at the car before saying the fuel pressure sensor would be replaced.

Did the light go out? Mine came right back on and the code was the same, even after they replaced it.
Interesting.

My light came on, then off by itself 2 days later, but before I got it to the dealer. The dealer just changed it today, I have not even gotten the car back yet. I will update the post if it happens again.

Interesting that your light came back on! I wonder why?

Thats good. It came back on before I got out of the parking lot. The service manager drove it around after the wash and when I got in it the light was on. They went through a few things before deciding that the ECU needed replacing.
Let me know what happens. I'm starting to think from the few posts I've read here that this is a common problem.

I had a CEL for that fuel pressure sensor. Dealership said it is as common as PCV. But there is nothing to worry about.
