any chance an '06 with a delivery inservice date of 12-05 has the rear bias torsen?
and will i really notice the difference. i'd like to think i would, but at the same rate, the front bias would be a hair safer in the snow. wow am i getting old...
is there anyway i can tell for sure if it has it?

Price is wrong. Only costs like $500, if you send yours in.
The STaSIS mod won't change the bias - just the limit. Read their site to learn about the benefits.
Even a 40/60 bias still won't handle like a RWD car, though.
I saw a comparison (maybe Top Gear or 5th Gear?) between the RS4 and R8 around the same track. The R8 has like a 70% or 80% rear bias and drifted *so* much more. Of course, I'm sure that wasn't the only reason (though they do share the same engine).

It does change the bias...
"Tuning the center differential provides one of the most significant performance gains available to the Quattro owner. The standard torsen center differential in the Audi S4 provides a 2:1 torque distribution capability. This enables the end of the car with traction (generally the rear) to deliver twice the torque being delivered by the least tractive end of the vehicle (generally the front). <b>For high performance street cars, we recommend our bias ratio of 4:1. This is the same bias ratio that Audi has provided in the stock RS4 driveline.</b>"
