Default Audi Lease Programs - Does Anyone know...

...how frequently Audi changes the money factor and residual values on their lease programs? Does this occur monthly, quarterly, or what? I have a 2006 that is acheduled to go off lease in November. Back in 2005 when my lease started, they were offering an incredible 73% residual on a 24 month 15,000 mile lease. The money factor was .00139. From what I'm seeing now, the residual is about only 61% and MF of .00012 for same term. This translates to over a $100 increase on the monthly payment. I love my B7 but I'm not sure I want to pay that much more for the same car I already have, particularly when the B8 is going to make my new B7 look old pretty soon. The BMW 328xi is starting to look good...

Default Every month... next change around September 5th.

My lease is up at the end of October... I doubt I'll lease again since the residuals are 10% lower. I'll probably buy, but I'm not sure what yet.

I'm there too, but sooner. My '06 Quartz A4 2.0T Q w/Tip, Sunroof, Premium, heated seats & walnut interior trim is up 9/30/07. I just got the inspection and they got me for $120 for a really minor scratch on the RF wheel (1/2 inch not curb rash - higher up probably while at the Audi shop!!). Car only has 23,800 out of possible 30,000 miles so they will get a good car to certify and make money on. I have been paying $471/month with "0" down, 8.375% sales tax in, 24 months 15,000 miles. For an 08, the same basic car (Quartz, premium, convenience, heated seats, wood trim) will be $552/mo no money down, bank fee in, sales tax in for 36 months and 15,000 miles a year - an increase of $81/month. I figure that with the 36 month lease I will certainly have to replace four tires, so that will add like $14/month, making out of pocket $566/month.
I have little time - will be going to BMW this weekend; Acura will give me same terms on an 08 RDX for $480 all-in. In the final analysis I may get a 24-month Accord lease, just drive it and then when that is up go for a B8 - just a thought. Maybe the new Audi A4 lease deal after 9/4 one is up will be better - but I have to act soon or be wheel-less.

Default I know how you feel...

I went through the same thing and could only justify it by knowing that to get what I wanted I had to order 3 months early and had less negotiating power. I did think about going back to BMW but would also have had to order a 335 (there was nothing much in stock back in May) and probably pay MSRP. It could be worse, a Mercedes 2007 C350 is at 44% with MF of 0.0037 (36 month/15K), although the 2008 rates are better. Check the roadfly lease forum for details.

http://forums.roadfly.com/forums/financing/</a

Another option I've been thinking about is leasing a two year old A6. I think that after 24 months, the vehicle would be past the steep part of the depreciation curve, so that the residual value for the next 24 months would be relatively stable. A 2005 A6 should be worth somewhere between $29k and $35k according to Edmunds. That should result in monthly payment lower than we currently pay for the A4, but for a car that originally cost $20k more. Audi will warrantee certified used cars for up to 100k miles.
Food for thought...

Default This is exactly why I leased a Euro delivery 335i. Much better deal

I ordered a 2007 335i sedan in April for July 20th delivery for $800 over ED invoice price (over $5200 off U.S. MSRP). I did a 3-year lease at 12K miles per year on a car with MSRP of $44,900 for $476.41 per month including tax with zero cap reduction. I did put down 7 additional refundable security deposits to lower my money factor, but my drive-off excluding the security deposit was only $835. My residual and MF were 63% and 0.00156, respectively.

I really wanted to move up to a 3.2 S-line quattro but the residual for a similar lease was 10-11% lower, so I didn't even bother pursuing that option. I would like to come back to Audi for a B8 A4 but only if Audi offers a competitive deal on a 3.2 V6. I am also hoping that they will expand the Euro delivery option to leases. Then again, if B8 residuals are as bad as the B7 has been lately, puchase may be the only viable option.

Default Buyout if you can...

I had the same lease as you on a 2005.5. Bought out for 23k and the blue book is 26.5k. If you can walk out with 3k in your pocket after a private sale, I would. Then you can go lease a 335i, take delivery in D-land, and pay the same price...

Good points, but I will not consider a used car. That is why I am passing on buying my 07 B7 A4 - it is in fantastic condition and probably worth the $26,100 I am locked into paying. I just don't want any chance of mechanical issues or even having to replace tires. I have a 24 month lease on my '06 and it is bothering me that Audi is pushing 36-month leases on the '08's - that third year almost assures having to replace the tires - a big buck item.

Default I only have 21K miles on my S-line and will surely need at least 2 new tires

SGS Auto Inspections is coming to my work this afternoon. I am pretty much resigned to needing to replace a pair of tires but I'm hoping the other pair have the minimum 1/8" thread.
