Default B7 A4 2.0T Bonestock

I have an 07 ibis white a4 2.0T with a manual transmission. the rest i believe is stock besides the leather seats bc i believe ive seen an audi with cloth int. anyways i love the car overall but the handling could be a little stiffer since my last car was a bmw with a sport suspension that was passed down to me. i dont want to go overboard and make the car rock stiff because the roads around me are absolutely terrible (new york roads) with pot holes left and right. a friend had suggested strut bars for me and that sounded like a good idea but i was wondering if anyone else bought there audi like this and then added on suspension upgrades could give me some feedback on their ride. sorry if this was already posted cause i'm new and my car is approaching 50k miles and once the warranty is up i would like to mess around with the car a bit

I have the same car, except for Tiptronic tranny. I agree that in stock form, handling could be improved. Sounds like your car has the premium package, which include leatherette seats, sunroof, front heated seats.... If you have HID (projector lights), then you also have the convenience package.

If also sounds like you do not have the sports package or the Sline package. To make the car handle better without going too low, I'd suggest getting a set of used OEM sports suspension (red struts), which can be had for around $200 on ebay or Audizine.com. If you want new, a set of Koni yellows and Eibach will run you around $500. The sports suspension will lower your car by 1 inch, while the koni/eibach will lower it by ~2inchs.

Another great mod is replacing the standard rear sway bar with the one that comes on the RS4. If you search RS4 sway bar on audizine, you can find plenty of reviews and write ups. The RS4 RSB will stiffen up the rear of the car, and make it handle a lot better.

All in all, I spend ~$300 (oem sports suspension + RS4 RSB), and my B7 now handles a lot better.

You also should flash the ECU with either Revo or APR, which can yield at least 30-40whp/60-70tq with no bolt on required. Flashing the ecu usually cost $500-$600.

Good luck with the car, happy modding.
