Buying out lease. Incentives?

Buying out lease. Incentives?
I'm planning to buy out my lease in two months. I can't think of anything I would rather have for $18k, and I need something reliable and capable in winter to last me while I pay for a Cayman or Exige weekend car ;-)
Has anyone recently been offered an incentive to buy out their lease ? I have heard rumors of Visa gift cards being offered. If there is no incentive, I may to ask my dealer if they are interested in buying the car and CPOing it back me for a premium.
Is CPO is worth it on these cars? Mine has been bullet proof and CPU has already been replaced under warranty. I figure all it will need is brakes and maybe clutch and timing belt before 100k.The B7 should have all issues solved, right?

Re: CPU already replaced and it's been bullet proof? I don't get it
Well, mechanically bullet proof. The ECU thing was because after a reflash (per TSB recall) it threw a check engine light. This happened twice, so they just replaced the ECU. It doesn't worry me too much. I have no reason to suspect failure of any major systems.

You can deal with them on the buy out price, and dealers
pay a lower buy out then stated on your lease paper work.
Figure out what you want to pay, make them an offer, see what happens.
Good luck

Even though it's the same company, policies may be different.
I recall reading something about AFS having an insurance policy to cover any financial loss on lease returns (i.e. buyout price way above car's market value), so they have little if any financial incentive to negotiate.

When the lease was up on my 06 A4 (Sept. 07) I talked to AFS several times and they would not budge on the buy out price or any kind of incentive. My dealer said that AFS is a pain. That since the vehicle was owned by AFS they (the dealer) did not get a chance to buy it to CPO it - they would have to get it at the same auction the AFS uses to dump the cars to anyone. Maybe that was BS but that's what they told me. The dealer wasn't the least bit interested in the condition of the car (21K miles on a 30K mile 24-month lease and literally no dents or anything and it was Quartz which everyone wanted at that time) since they could not get it any cheaper from AFS than a total stranger would.
