Central locking problems
Hi!
The central locking is not working properly. I can't use the remote control, I've changed the battery and can't sync it. When I unlock the car with the key, only the driver's door unlocks and I have to turn the ignition on or the alarm will go off.
How can I fix this?

Try resetting the fob using the procedure found in post #3 of this string. Good luck, Haya....

This worked on my boys 08 A4 when we had the battery off for months.
"Put the key in the ignition, turn it on, don't start it, press the lock and unlock buttons on the fob, you'll hear the central locking working. Should reset fob"
My son did it, and he said he pushed and held BOTH lock and unlock at the same time for a few seconds.

ok,
try this: (grasping at straws now)
disconnect battery
first negative cable then positive cable
wait 1 minute
touch cables together for 10 seconds - this drains any transient voltage from the electronics
reconnect cables.
first positive cable then negative cable
Go thru fob reset steps as before
I do not know that this will work but try it.
BTW- the above procedure is the way to reset the immobilizer system if ever needed.
How do i know this? Umm, don't ever mistakenly insert your VW Jetta key into the ignition of your A4 Audi. Hahahaha.

Do you have VCDS or OBD11 (or something like that)? If so, go into the key module (comfort) and try deleting every key that is stored in the system. Who knows??
If anyone has any insight on this please let me know.
