Hi all

Of course I've never had the car's alarm go off but I tried pressing the panic button on my remote and it's supposed to make noises as if the car's alarm went off.

Well, it did, kinda. The car makes these really wussy beeps that sound exactly like that one beep we get when we lock the car. That soft beep just keeps going every 1 or 2 seconds.

Now, that is WEAK and hardly attracts any attention. I am wondering, is there a problem with my car or are all A4s like that? I mean the horn doesn't come on at all. I'm quite concerned.

I don't, other than wanting to shoot the car or the idiot who pressed the panic button, most of the time to be cool. Same if the car alarm went off because a garbage truck drove by. Sorry, nothing personal, but car alarms are about as useful as other people's babies on a plane.

Only when you see a yellow hummer honking and blasting, shooting thru the streets, followed by 50 cop cars, people actually look. Or a white Bronco seems to work, too.

stick your head under the rear bumper on the passenger side and hit the button. It's just sh*tty placement cuz that thing is loud as hell.
