Default Is Fred Lavery in Birmingham a reliable dealer for CPO?

I am looking at a couple 2008 A4s coming off 4 or 5 month service loaner periods from Lavery. The cars look clean, are the exact color we want, and the dealership seems nice enough. They are asking the same $ as other dealers have 2007 A4 service loaners. Is this too good to be true?

Due to our distance from the dealership, we would probably have service performed elsewhere, but want to make sure we are not buying a problem vehicle. I tried searching dtwaudi.com, but the search just brings back a blank page for me.

We were told the loaners were for their A8 customers, and it is easier to sell a used car with 5,000 mi instead of 10,000 mi. Is there any reason I should be nervous about this transaction?

Click my post link to send email if necessary.
Thanks.

I bought a CPO '05.5 A4 from Fred Lavery about a month ago and it was a very easy process. I also got a very good deal on a great car. Marc Alpern is who I worked with. Let me know if you have any more questions.

Default Re: Met Marc last night. Very easy to work with.

Definitely said all the right things to make the sale.

Took the wrong exit (bad memory), and almost passed AoRH. They have a 2007 A4 CPO.

Default Should I swap the OEM Pirelli P6 for the OEM Contis?

I remarked about the Pirelli vs the Continentals, and was offered a swap if I wanted. I don't like Pirelli, and the Conti's have been great on our New Beetle TDI. My wife doesn't care, but didn't want to make a fuss.

Default R. Hills Audi has a good selection

so I'm sure you can get a deal there too. I looked up the value of my car, $23,300, and paid $20,300. If I didn't deal there, I was going to go to Audi Rochester. Good luck. Just make sure you get the .9% APR.

Default I might go with 215/55/16 Dunlop Winter Sport 3D for winter

on a second set of rims for a little better footing.

Default Re: Took delivery of a DSB '08 A4 2.0T Quattro tip

Marc extended a fair amount off the asking price, plus Audi Care new car plan, and of course, the CPO. Might not have been as good of a deal as meeksy5's 2005.5, but the 2008 standard "S-line" badge, blacked out fog light fascia, side skirts, paddle shifters, and trunk bump add a nice touch. Was still less than other dealers were listing 2007s, and only had 4600 mi on it before my test drive.

Wife is very happy with her new upscale car -- nice step up from her VW.
