HeadLight washers? why/why not?
worth it?
does it increase the size of the washer fluid container? if so does the container interfere with flow to the intercooler?
I kind of like the smooth front bumber, no cut outs for washers.
any reasons why or why not if it doesn't snow where I live/drive this car(nor-cal)hove a 4wd blazer for tahoe/sking etc..
thanks

I have them and they are pretty much useless.
Plus they get washer fluid all over the front of your car when they are turned on.
The only cool thing about them is seeing them work when you are outside of the car.

Not worth it
They use up your fluid faster. If you're like most of us, you'll keep your car clean anyway, so when you use them, it won't make a noticeable difference. And, there's nothing more aggravating than the spray they throw on your freshly-washed hood.

all that happens is you get soap on the hood... it sucks
i have a b6 and they were standard not an option...literally i shut my head lights off quickly to use washer fluid at night if entirely necessary

here's where they make a difference...
Autostrada, Autobahn... high speed roads where you cover a lot of distance in a short amount of time, frequently in bad weather. We rarely have those conditions in the US, but if you were going to do a Montreal-Quebec run, or cross Kansas in Feb - AT NIGHT - the headlight washers can make a difference.
that's about it.

Depends on where you live
I guess I disagree somewhat with other posters. I live in MN, and in the dead of winter, for about three months, it is frankly pretty tough to keep your car clean unless you use an auto wash. During those three months, having the washers is nice - one inch of snow and you've got white salt residue all over your car. H/L washers make a huge difference in headlights' effectiveness, and the car is already filthy anyway.
Now, are they worth $150? Who knows. I use them maybe 10 times a year -- the rest of the time, I work hard to avoid them coming on, for the reasons mentioned above. Keeping them from coming on is kind of pain, though if you are to the point where you need to spray your windshield, your car is probably so dirty that you might as well get spray all over your H/Ls and hood too.
