Your best bet is just to get the Motorola IHF100 or HF 850 bluetooth auto adapters. Buy them on ebay because they are much cheaper there. Also the difference between the 1000 and the 850 is that the 1000 has noise cancellation and echo cancellation, so the sound quality is much better. I would think you would need an entirely new headunit from audi if you wanted one with bluetooth. THis is much easier to do.

Default "They" (not Audi) are working on a solution... I hear "they" are close to a solution...

Look for future posts here... When I bought my 2005.5 the Technology Pkg was not available and AoA and the dealer told me there was no possibility of adding Bluetooth... Now there is hope on the horizon...

Default Really?

I did not order BT thinking I could get an aftermarket BT module with the same functions but without the phone handle. I couldn't so now I'm waiting for an answer from my local Audi dealer's techies on how the OEM BT module can be installed aftermarket.

It would be great news to know that Audi actually has an official way to do it.

I HIGHLY doubt that your dealer will retrofit bluetooth for you. Audi has officially said bluetooth is not retrofitable. You are going to have to do it yourself or find a tuner. But it's still going to be a few weeks to a month until the guys on navplus.us have cracked the secret to the Vag coding.

Hey thanks for the link. I appreciate it. I looked at what they had to say and it sounds totally foreign to me. I will try to figure it out.

Default well in the coming weeks/months..

They will compile their findings into an easy to read tutorial. Just have to be patient.

I think I can trick my dealer into retrofitting it, as long as somebody has a viable solution. Is that time frame remotely accurate?
