Default MP3 not doing any random search

I'm using my 2GB Sandisk SD card (works great) but everytime I go to hit the RANDOM button the MP3 Control settings, it doesn't seem to want do the random search mode and it just goes onto the next track. I'll click the MIX button and it'll highlight saying Random but then the songs just go onto the next one on the playlist and doesn't do a true random search to the next track.

Has anybody ran into this yet? I did a search and really didn't find anything on this subject.

Default I pretty much stopped using random...

I noticed that every time I went to skip to the next track it would take it out of random mode and just play the next song on the playlist/on the card. Very annoying, and possibly related to your issue?

Default Same problem with me....

Now I just make 2 playlists with all the songs on my SD card, one ordered and one random. I just use winamp to do this, it can randomize a playlist.

I usually just listen to the random playlist, even though its in the same order every time, it at least seems random since I dont hear the same artist twice.

Default When you make a 'random' playlist, do you put the MP3 files into a separate folder?

Do you put the MP3 files into a separate folder to keep the player from openning up all of those songs again? And just keep the playlist in the root directory and run that? Or do you just keep the playlist and MP3 files in one root directory? Hope that makes sense.

I'll mess around with it tomorrow. Thanks for the advice.
