NAV/Bluetooth question
I finally took delivery of my 07 2.0T Avant last weekend. Hurray!!
There is one item that I cannot find in the manual. Whenever I receive a call, the ringer sounds like a car alarm going off inside my car. Makes me jump through the roof every time. Where on the NAV are the options that control the ringer? I looked everywhere. Thank you...

Those settings are controlled by your phone, not the Nav
You'll need to adjust the ringer in your phone's profiles or settings. Sometimes when you connect a phone to a hands free kit, or charger, it will select a different ringtone, etc. Check your phone's manual to adjust that.

Re: question for you Razzy...
Before you set up the BT did you get a "Telephone not installed" message??
I bought a used S4 and it's supposed to have BT but I keep getting this message when I hit the TEL button and the phone won't pair with the NAV

Re: question for you Razzy...
I believe AudiA4B6US is correct. Your BT phone should come up with a device named "Audi UHV XXXX" when scanning for BT devices. If you get a message stating "Telephone not installed" and your phone does not find the Audi, then the BT module probably was not installed.

What the dealer said...
All I am trying to accomplish is to turn the ringer down to a less earshattering volume. According to the dealer, all I have to do to turn down the ringer is to use the volume dial on my steering wheel while the phone is ringing and before answering the call. I will test that theory tonight.
I have a LG VX9800 ("The V"). All the basic functions work. But it won't transfer my phonebook. Grrrr....

OK Thanks... any idea where the module physically is?
Is it easy to find... I have to get to the bottom of this
The dealer I bought from says either the module "wasn't activated" or the equipment list is wrong and I don't have BT
