need to buy a track helmet near Albany, NY, any ideas where?

Ever make it to the Boston area? HMS Motorsports has a good selection.
Bell, G-Force, Arai, etc.
You can go the internet route too, just be careful with size. I prefer to be able to try them on before buying. Helmets tend to be sized diffently brand to brand. Google saferacer. They are a good internet source for racing equipment.

I'd recommend against that unless you have had a chance to try on an example
of that exact helmet before buying. From both a safety and comfort perspective, it's risky buying a helmet having never tried it on.

Mine in big/odd category (large occipital bone). You should go to a dealer and try some on.
I went to Wine Country Motorsports at Infineon in Sonoma (bit of a drive from Albany). Very helpful there, big selection, tried several on and the prospect I wore for about 20 minutes in the store before I bought. I looked like a geek doing that but so what, got a helmet that fits very well (a Bell M4).
