Have a 2008 audi a4 cabriolet. Car was sitting for a while and went out to start it. It had a dead battery so I charged like normal and now have a no crank situation. Checked the relays and fuses under the hood area for transmission and engine and all test good. Wiring back into the TCM module appears to be good and continuity tests for the wires I can trace.
what I know
I can hear the fuel pump prime
I get 12 volts to starter positive
I am seeing 3-4 volts on output of TCM relay under hood
I get a press clutch to start on message center - hard to do with no clutch
I had at one time a u0101 TCM communication message from OBD but believe that was due to me troubleshooting.

I do not think it is the starter
Hope it isn't the TCM
Is there a security system that may need to be reset after battery going completely flat and sitting?

Sounds like the battery isn't up to it. Can you put a meter on it and check the voltage? You need at least 12.3V to get a start, a bare 12 won't cut it. Try jump starting it and see how you go.

battery is at 13.6 and won't do anything even with my batter my charger set at 50amp start setting starter on it. It is completely no crank.

Will the engine turn over by hand? Once you confirm that, sticking starter solenoid? Try tapping it with a hammer… if you can get to it.

turns by hand, I really didn't want to pull the starter to test with the other clutch message, but hadn't thought of the hammer I usually use on this car.

turned out to be rodents chewing through the wiring harness to the transmission. A b*tch to get to but running again
