Putting the Jack back in its case
My Wife ran over chunk of wood in the road yesterday (I was there, she could have missed it, but that's beside the point). Had to remove the jack from her A4 cab to replace the tire. Now I can't get it back in its case for the life of me. Any ideas or pics? I found an old post here but it did not have the picture.
PS. The guy who changed the tire for me says Audi's have composite undercarriges, and refused to use his big jack. Said he'd seem them go through the floorboard. Said to be very careful. Is this true?
Thanks for all the help

never heard anything more ignorant than that
going through the floorboard? c'mon. also changing a tire isnt so hard, i believe there are instructions in the owners manual, so next time you dont have to pay some idiot to change your tire, you can do it yourself

You'd be surprised how thin the floorboard is on these cars...
Try using a floor jack on a non-recommended area of your floorboards and see how easily the metal creases. In some areas the metal is about as thick as the steel in your door skin...
He may be thinking of all the plastic under the car as well, which is also thin, but under all that plastic is pretty thin metal.
Yes, you should be careful. Use the recommended jack points and you'll be fine.
