Quick upgrade question...
I've done quite a bit of searching on here and was hoping I could clarification on 1 thing.
I am thinking of a doing a couple small things to the B7. Notably:
Chip & Test Pipe.
I have a very reputable GIAC shop nearby, but I have been told by numerous people that its a no-go because they don't program around the test-pipe (CEL). That leaves APR shop which is a couple hour drive away.
Is there a special APR program I need because of the test pipe. IE: Revo Stage II ?. Looks like Revo goes to stage 2 once you get TP/Exhaust.
APR would seeming just accommodate the extra flow ( I HOPE)...

you obvioulsy have NOT searched that much on this subject...
the test pipe gains you speak of are measured without software tuning. a test pipe coupled with software tuning...there's no difference. with a bt setup, that's a different story.

i have the apr testpipe and exhaust and chip amongst other things (k04, fmic, fuel pump upgrade, cai, s3 injectors etc....) When you get just the testpipe you will not get the performance program associated with what Apr calls stage 2. You need the exhaust to get the true stage two which if you get the exhaust and tp with the chip you will get the stage 2+ which i am not sure exactly how that differs from the regular stage 2 but i would recommend doing the chip and exhaust/tp together. if you have any other questions let me know, i have all the APR parts!

I don't follow. Are you saying that TP provides no gains when the software is propely tuned?
Meaning that with proper software, the car will put out the same HP with and without TP?

i'm saying that if a car is completely stock and you add only a tp...there will be some gains.
i'm also saying if a car already has a flashed ecu and you add a tp to it..there will be no gains above what the ecu flash has already provided.
